Description of event: Come share in fellowship and to celebrate of all things winter. The days are getting longer starting Dec 22nd! It may be the longest night of the year, but it still won't be long enough for all of the food and fun. It’s a family Winter Solstice party!  We’ll start with a pot luck dinner.  Bring a dish to share and your recipe card too.  Follow up joining in a game of poker, bingo and other group games. Wind up the night with karaoke and dancing.

Hi,
Just wanted to clarify that this for the whole family, including the dancing. In the past we have had ages 5 to umm... much older : ) on the floor. True, we have to poke the DJ to play our 70's and 80's favorites but still...
Everyone can dance to the macarana and YMCA.
I even know the cha cha slide now. If the hour is too late, we understand that some little people (and big people too for that matter) may need to head home. This event will be co-hosted with Homeschool Connections folks. Come join us to see some familiar faces and meet some new friends. Know a new homeschooling family? Invite them to come and sign them up.

Beth

Disney's Yes Program

Mark your calendar. Get group discount... a terrific price!  If your family has not been to Walt Disney World in a few years or ever this is A  not to be missed educational opportunity and wonderful family trip!

Click Here to Download Brochure         Click Here to Download National Standards

Please read everything very carefully. This is a lot of information to try and share.

This is a great opportunity for our kids to have a wonderful EDUCATIONAL experience. Parents and family  will have a wonderful vacation and enjoy themselves as well.  I love going and seeing all the new changes and innovations. There is so much going on and so much to experience.

The Disney Yes program with 5 day park hopper Tickets are $165.09 that includes the tax. The 5 day park hopper pass plus 2 days to either attend one of the water park or Disney Quest (a 5 story interactive arcade.)  Disney Yes program we are going to attend  Disney's Wild by Nature: 2nd - 9th Grade I'm sure it would be of interest to even higher grade levels Walk on the wild side and explore the fascinating and surprising world of animal behavior! Through animal observations, data collection, select attractions and hands-on activities, students learn how animal research is helping us preserve wildlife and wild places.

Ticket Price is subject to change and could increase by a few dollars. Any money earned though fund raising can be a-applied to any increase  and the total ticket purchase.

Parents are eligible for the same Great ticket prices!  For every student ticket purchased we are allowed a adult to purchase the same 5 day park hopper pass plus 2 days at either one of the water park and Disney Quest.   WOW what deal!

Disney" YES" program : Only 1 Adult to 5 students will actually be able to attend the educational program as Chaperone. (The only exception is if there is a special need child who need the assistance of a adult.) However there is lesson plans and educational material available to all on the Yes program site and listed below in the post.  If we get 20 students we can add another Yes program which would allow 2 more chaperone adults to attend.

I am going to ask for those who would like to attend this opportunity is to make a real commitment! RSVP'ing is great but I need a commitment that we are going to do this. We need a minimum of 10 students and it wouldn't be fair to others if we have just one family drop out. It would ruin it for all and we don't want to do that.

I would like each family to give a deposit on the cost of their tickets. We can make installments every 2 months through out the year.  Starting in March  15 of this year 2009!

Installments can be made on the following dates: May 15,  July 15,  September 15,    November  15,    January  15  then pay off any remainder by February 15

Figure out the cost of your portion of the tickets $165.09 X number of tickets and send the first installment toward the cost of the tickets March 15, 2009.

>>>Yes program Date Time and day<<<

March 1- 5 2010  Monday through Friday  it gives us  a weekend on each end for travel.  We will attend the "Yes" program on Wednesday  March the 3rd  1 pm.

Send 1st installment by  March 15 , 2009

EXAMPLE: 13.83 a month per ticket (per person for the 5 day park hopper option) we need to raise or save from allowance.  A family of 5 that would be 69.16 month. 138.32 for each installment.

We need a minimum of 10 kids for the Disney "Yes" program. Adults get the same price for their park tickets.  Disney discourages more than 2 adult chaperone per each 10 kids attending the YES class.  If we have 20 kids we can add another Yes program to our schedule and 2 more chaperone.

The Disney Educational "Yes" program we are going to attend  is called "Wild by Nature".  A minimum of the 10 kids must attend the yes program. If we happen to get 20 or more kids we could choose another Yes program and divide our group.

You must have the group tickets in order to enter the park where the program is being offered. This Wild by Nature is in Animal Kingdom Park. March 3 2010 1:00 pm.

Disney's Wild by Nature: 2nd - 9th Grade I'm sure it would be of interest to even higher grade levels Walk on the wild side and explore the fascinating and surprising world of animal behavior!
